Vietnam to Study a "Vietnam Talent Visa"

Vietnam is studying the introduction of a “Talent Visa” Policy to attract international experts, as part of a broader effort to build a genuinely competitive mechanism for recruiting talent from abroad.

The proposed visa would come with a single-window, transparent application process and clearly defined processing timelines.

It would be paired with synchronized policies covering salaries, residency, employment, taxation, housing, health care, education, and the recognition of professional qualifications — for talented individuals and their family members.

Vietnamese representative agencies abroad are expected to play a larger role in identifying and connecting with experts and building partner networks in the specific fields the country needs, supporting the effort to compete internationally for talent.
